Puerto Rico Relief Efforts

Puerto Rican Diaspora Says Present
To Help, To Build, To Rise

Why we need your help

Only two weeks after a strike by the Category 5 Hurricane Irma, the island of Puerto Rico faced the fury of Hurricane Maria. This monster hurricane stormed the island with sustained winds of 165 mph and gusts of up to 215 mph, leaving 100% of the island without power, very limited communication and major damage to the general infrastructure, forcing the local government to declare Puerto Rico in a “state of emergency”.

See what's happening in Puerto Rico

The devastation in Puerto Rico caused by Hurricane Maria has no precedent. This USA territory has not been struck by a hurricane of such magnitude since Hurricane San Felipe in 1928. Many Puerto Ricans have lost everything, with houses under water and no power in the entire island. Thanks to the collective effort of many people, we can present a snapshot of the current state of the island. See photos below.

We have five collection centers around the Georgia Tech campus and we are ready to receive your donations. For more information of drop-off locations click for below.
